EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Lafayette men's and women's track & field teams combined to capture seven top-three finishes at the All-American Invite hosted by East Stroudsburg University on Saturday afternoon.

Michael Thorne highlighted the jumpers by claiming the top spot in the pole vault after clearing the bar at 15' 1". Harvey Situ followed right behind with the second best jump at 14' 1 1/4". For the women, Sarah Shoop cleared at 9' 2 1/4", which was good for sixth.

The Leopards capped off the top-five finishes in the jumps after Brendan Doyle went on to grab a fifth-place finish in the high jump once he cleared at 5' 10 3/4".

In the throws, Patrick Corcoran led the Leopards with a second-place showing in the hammer throw with a distance of 171' 5" and placing fourth with a new PR was teammate Dan Sweitzer at 150' 5". Tracy Kurdziel placed fifth in the women's discus with a distance of 115' 1".

On the track, a pair of men's relay teams finished in second. The 4x100m relay team consisting of Steven Young, Dan Hogan, Tom Strand and Justin Johnson crossed at 43:08. Strand, Johnson and Hogan then teamed up with Brendan Carroll and placed second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:21.53.

The Leopards saw a great deal of success in the 400m as both Strand and Crosby Spiess placed in the top three. Strand crossed at 50.07 for a second-place finish, while Spiess led the women after finishing at 59.03, which was good for second.

Lafayette added a pair of top-five finishes at the meet in the 1500m and the 800m. Courtney Geisenheimer placed fourth in the 1500m at 5:01.06 and in the 800m, it was Tyler Pressl coming in second after crossing at 1:58.08.
