Baseball Welcomes Flanary to Staff

The Leopards welcome new assistant to coaching staff for 2019 season

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette baseball head coach Joe Kinney announced the addition of Ben Flanary to his coaching staff for the 2019 campaign.

Flanary joins the Leopards as an assistant coach and will be responsible for outfielders, offensive strategy and coaching first base.

"I am thrilled to have Ben join our baseball staff," said the 20th-year head coach. "He brings a wealth of experience from NCAA Division I and Division III, along with summer high school travel programs that have prepared him to be an assistant at Lafayette College."

Flanary is a 2011 graduate of Temple University, where he appeared in 159 games, tallying 95 hits and 50 RBIs with the Owls before the institution cut the Division I program at the end of the 2014 season.

Prior to coming to College Hill, Flanary spent the previous six seasons as the hitting coach and recruiting coordinator at Stockton University.

"He has already been an instrumental part of our fall season to date and I am looking forward to Ben's future involvement and development," Kinney said.
