ESTERO, Fla. - The Lafayette Men's Golf team completed the fall portion of its schedule with a fifth place finish in the FGCU Classic at the par-72 Old Corkscrew Golf Club. The Leopards finished with a three round total of 920, two shots behind host Florida Golf Coast University and three shots clear of Fort Wayne in the nine-team event.
Sophomore
Cole Berger led the Leopards individuals with a 228 to finish in a T-16 followed by junior
Will Halamandaris (T-19), sophomore
Brendan Cronin (T-22), freshman
Kazuki Osawa (T-25) and freshman
Ryan Tall (32nd). Campbell won the team tournament and Eastern Kentucky's Erik Lindwall was the tournament medalist.
Lafayette will return to Florida in mid-March for a spring tune-up in West Palm Beach to prepare for the spring slate which begins by hosting the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational March 30 at the Steel Club in Hellertown, Pa.
