EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette athletics closed out its nominee announcements for the PARDees on Friday afternoon, announcing five men up for the 1913 Trophy. The nominees include men's tennis' Chris Kim, men's lacrosse's Scott McAvoy, baseball's Luke Robinson, men's basketball's Eric Stafford and swimming and diving's Nick Whiteman.
The PARDees, an annual awards show that recognizes Lafayette's senior student-athletes for their accomplishments and contributions to their programs, will take place on Thursday, May 17, with a red carpet walk beginning at 4 p.m.
Four graduating seniors will receive special recognition as the Charles L. Albert '08 Awards and the Class of 1913 Trophies will be presented to one male and one female each. The winners are determined by a vote from Lafayette's head coaches and athletic administration.
The Albert Award is presented annually to the senior male and female student-athletes who are judged to be the most outstanding athlete. The 1913 Trophy is presented to those who have attained the greatest distinction both as an athlete and a scholar.

Chris Kim, Men's Tennis: Chemistry and Mathematics major with a 3.79 GPAÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦served as a team captain for two seasonsÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦member of the Mathematics Honors Society, the French Honors Society and the Phi Beta Kappa Honors SocietyÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦earned Dean's List every semester and was a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor RollÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦spent a summer as an Excel Research ScholarÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦was published in the Journal of Organometallic Chemistry.
Scott McAvoy, Men's Lacrosse: Economics major with a 3.83 GPAÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦served as a student assistant coach during his senior season after suffering his second ACL injury, ending his playing careerÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦works as a writing assistantÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦will begin a full-time job in Corporate and Investment Banking at Citi Group in New York City following graduationÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦served as a team captain in his senior seasonÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦is actively engaged with the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, participating in community service projects over the course of the year, including the "Boo Who Crew" in Bethlehem during HalloweenÃÆ'Æ’¢ÃÆ'¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡¬¦volunteered at New Bethany Ministries and Paxinosa Elementary school, as well as participating in a Sunday program for the March of Dimes at a local crossfit gym.
