LORTON, Va. – Lafayette shot 292-291 (+15) over two rounds to finish seventh in the 13-team Patriot Intercollegiate golf event won by host George Mason (+4) at the Laurel Hill Golf Club. Sunday's final round was washed out due to unplayable conditions following an overnight rain and more wet weather anticipated.
The Leopards were paced by junior
Will Halamandaris who finished in a tie for fifth following an even-par 142 through the first two rounds. Sophomore
Brendan Cronin (+2) was tied for 13th in a field of 78 players.
Sophomore
Cole Berger (+6) also finished in the upper half of the field for Lafayette.
Next up for the Leopards is a trip to Apalachin, N.Y. next weekend to participate in the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational hosted by Binghamton University at the Links at Hiawatha Landing.
