NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. - The Lafayette Men's Golf team climbed two spots during the final round on Tuesday to finish 4th in the Rhode Island Invitational at the Quidnessett Country Club.
Junior
Will Halamandaris, who won the 2018 event in a playoff, led the way for the Leopards with a three round total of 222 to finish in a tie for 4th among 43 participants. Freshman
Kazuki Osawa finished T-10 at 230. Host URI won the tournament and also featured the medalist as senior Dawson Jones shot an even-par 216 for the hosts.
James Croney,
Aidan McDermott and
Ryan Tall rounded out the Lafayette entry in the two-day affair.Â
Alec Cwienkala and
Patrick McGinley competed as individuals.Â
The Leopards tee it up again on Friday and Saturday as they take part in the 39th Annual Navy Spring Invitational on the par-71 Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md.
