VILLANOVA, Pa. — The Lafayette men's golf team took sixth place at the Wildcat Invitational on Tuesday at Radnor Valley Country Club's par-70 course.

The Leopards posted a 22-over-par 582 as a squad during the two-day tournament. They finished nine strokes behind winner St. John's (13-over 573).

Leading the Leopards were junior Ryan Tall and senior Brendan Cronin, who both tied for 15th after they each finished with a 5-over 145. Tall shot even par on Tuesday to bounce back from a 5-over 75 in the opening round, while Cronin shot a 6-over par 76 in the final round after firing a 1-under 69 in the first round. 

Junior Kazuki Osawa followed Tall and Cronin with a 6-over 146 (72-74) to end in a tie for 22nd. 

Senior Creighton Hendrix shot a 5-over 75 for the second day in a row to finish in a tie for 40th with a 10-over 150. Sophomore Martin Vanhaelst had the second-best score on the team on Tuesday, shooting a 2-over 72, to end in a tie for 64th with a 13-over 153.

Junior Drew Steiner rounded out the lineup for the Maroon and White, as he tied for 70th after posting a 14-over 154 (75-79).

The Leopards will return home to host the annual ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational on Sunday at the Steel Club.
