Men’s Golf Takes 4th at Rolling Green Intercollegiate

Osawa leads the way with 6th-place finish

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. — The Lafayette men's golf team tied for fourth place in the Rolling Green Intercollegiate on Saturday at Rolling Green Golf Club's par-70 course. 

The Leopards posted a 13-over-par 293 to finish behind winner Rhode Island (5-over 285) and second-place finishers Bucknell and Monmouth (7-over 287), respectively. The Maroon and White tied with Villanova and St. Joseph's. 

Junior Kazuki Osawa led the way for the Leopards, tying for sixth place by shooting a 1-over-par 71. The Lasne, Belgium native posted a sixth-place finish for the second straight week.

Senior Cole Berger and junior Ryan Tall followed Osawa, as the two Leopards tied for 12th after they each carded a 2-over 72. Sophomore Martin Vanhaelst had the next best finish for Lafayette, as he tied for 54th with an 8-over 78. 

Junior Drew Steiner and sophomore Augie Beers rounded out the Leopards' lineup by both tying for 61st after they each shot a 9-over 79 on the day.

The Leopards will be back in action on April 12 and 13, when they will compete in the Wildcat Invitational at Radnor Valley Country Club.
