EASTON, Pa. – A total of 402 Lafayette student-athletes have earned 2020-21
Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections for achieving a 3.2-grade point average (GPA) or better during the spring semester.

Women's swimming and diving led the way among Lafayette teams with 48 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections, followed by men's lacrosse (44), women's track and field (39), football (38), women's lacrosse (29), men's track and field (28), field hockey (19), women's cross country (19), women's soccer (19), baseball (17), men's swimming and diving (14), softball (14), volleyball (13), men's soccer (12), men's cross country (10), women's basketball (9), women's tennis (9), men's basketball (8), men's golf (7) and men's tennis (6). The Leopard men's lacrosse and women's swimming and diving teams paced all Patriot League rivals for number of Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections, while field hockey was second among Patriot League schools. Baseball, women's cross country, men's golf and softball each ranked third within the conference's 10 full-member schools.

Lafayette had 40 student-athletes earn 4.0 semester GPA's during the spring semester when all 23 of Lafayette's varsity sports were competing. Those standout performances are listed below.

Across the Patriot League, 3,735 student-athletes achieved the distinction, marking the fourth straight year that Patriot League institutions have surpassed 3,000 Academic Honor Roll selections. Bucknell recorded a League-high 524 student-athletes on the academic honor roll with Lafayette placing second at (402) and Boston U. third (401)Â followed by Lehigh (396), Holy Cross (393), Navy (333), Loyola (321), Colgate (305), Army (234) and American (227). Associate members, Georgetown, Fordham, MIT and Richmond, add 200 names to the list.
