LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Lafayette track and field team continued their season this weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
On the women's side,
Cassandra Wilk opened up the action with a strong performance, finishing fourth out of 34 runners in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 11:03.62. Wilk's finish is good for the fourth fastest time in school history in the event.
In the 5,000 meter run,
Maura Timoney had a solid day, finishing seventh out of 39 runners in a time of 18:32.61. Behind Timoney in 15th was
Emma Lorey in a time of 18:46.86.
In the 10,000 meter run,
Autumn Sands continued her strong spring season with another great performance, finishing fifth in a field of 40 runners in a time of 35:27.68. Finishing in 24th was
Becky Hartman in a time of 36:30.54. Sands' finish is good for the second fastest time in school history in the event.
The 800 meter run was a good day for
Lily Dineen, as she finished 38th in a field of 133 runners in a time of 2:17.64.
On the men's side,
Austin Barry opened the action up with a ninth place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 9:18.24. This finish is good for the sixth fastest in school history.
In the 10,000 meter run,
Bobby Oehrlein finished 34th in a time of 30:53.80. This finish is good for the fourth fastest in school history.
In the 5,000 meter run,
Charley Eagle had a strong day, finishing 53rd in a time of 14:51.21. This finish is good for the 10th fastest in school history in the event.
In a super competitive 800 meter field,
Ryan Moore finished 80th out of 186 runners in a time of 1:56.13. In 95th place was
A.J. Sanford II in a time of 1:56.58.
