EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette track and field teams continued continued their season today with a home meet against rival Lehigh. The men lost by a score of 117-86, while the women fell short by a score of 124-76.
On the men's side,
Jordan Anderson won the first event of the day for Lafayette, finishing first in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.04 seconds. Anderson later came back to finish second in the long jump with a mark of 22 2
1/2".
The next win on the day came from
Austin Barry in the 3,00 meter steeplechase, finishing first in a time of 9:19.91.
Harrison Greenhill had a huge performance for Lafayette, winning two events. His first win came in the shot put with a toss of 51 3
3/4". His next win came in the discus throw with a mark of 154' 4".
The final win of the day on the men's side came from
Billy Prebola, winning the javelin with a top toss of 185' 4". Finishing behind Prebola in second was
Dylan Drescher with a mark of 167'.
On the women's side, the first win of the day came from
Autumn Sands in the 5,000 meter run, finishing first in a time of 17:13.34. Finishing behind Sands in second was
Becky Hartman in a time of 17:30.19.
The next win came from
Jill Warabak, finishing first in the 100 meter hurdles in a top time of 15.34 seconds.
The 3,000 meter steeplechase also produced a win for Lafayette, as
Cassandra Wilk crossed the finish line in first in a time of 11:19.72.
Julia Greeley also got in on the winning, placing first in the pole vault with a mark of 11' 7
3/4". Finishing behind Greeley in second was
Annie Hathaway with a vault of 11' 1
3/4".
Grace O'Mara also had a big day for Lafayette, winning the shot put with a mark of 39' 8
1/2". She also came back to finish second in the discus with a toss of 128' 6".
The Leopards return to action on Saturday, April 9th at the Lehigh Invitational.Â
