LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Lafayette track and field teams continued their season at the Bucknell Team Challenge. The women finished sixth with 29 points, while the men finished seventh with 44 points.
On the men's side,
Billy Prebola had a huge performance, winning the javelin throw with a mark of 216' 9". This mark from Prebola is a new personal best and is the second best throw in school history in the event. Finishing fifth in the event was
Dylan Drescher with a mark of 180' 0". This mark is a new personal best for Drescher.
Also having a huge performance was
Harrison Greenhill, winning the discus with a mark of 157' 2". This mark is a new personal best for Greenhill in the event. He later came back in the day to also finish second in the shot put with a mark of 55' 0". This mark is the second best throw in school history for Lafayette.
Austin Barry also had a strong meet, finishing fourth in the 1,500 meter run in a time of 3:52.59. This time is a new personal best for Barry and places him fourth all time in school history in the event. A.J. Sandord II also had a strong finish, finishing eighth in a time of 3:55.41. This finish from Sanford II is also a new personal best in the event.
On the women's side,
Cassandra Wilk had a strong day, finishing second in the 1,500 meter run in a time of 4:42.68. This time is a new personal best in the event for Wilk.
Also having a strong performance was
Caity McTernan, winning the javelin throw with a toss of 131' 0". This mark is a new personal best in the event.
