HELLERTOWN, Pa. -- The Lafayette golf team finished second in the Patriot League Championship with a 15-over score of 879 (294, 297, 288), 10 shots behind first-place champion Loyola which posted a score of 869 (294, 290, 285). Leopard senior
Ryan Tall won the individual title with a four-under score of 212 (69, 73, 70). Tall sunk a birdie on the 18th hole to send it to playoff holes where he sank a 30-foot birdie putt on the first hole for the win. Ryan's day of achievements was not over as he was nominated to All-Patriot League First Team and was awarded the Men's Golfer of the Year award.
Freshman
Raymond Dennehy finished tied for 10th with a six-over total score of 222 (70, 75, 77), earning All-Patriot League Second Team status. Junior
Martin Vanhaelst ended tied for 18th with a nine-over score of 225 (73, 75, 77). Sohpomore
Michael Walsh finished with a 10-over par 226 to finish tied for 20th while freshman
Sean Saw ended tied for 37th with a 16-over 232 (77, 79, 76). Senior
Kazuki Osawa rounded out the Leopards lineup tied for 42nd with an 18-over par 234 (84, 78, 72).
The Patriot League Championship was the final team competition for the Leopards.
