EASTON, Pa. – Billie Weiss, who serves as the Lafayette athletics ticket and promotions manager while also overseeing the cheerleading and dance teams, was honored with the Maroon Club Staff Achievement Award at the College's annual pre-commencement awards dinner on Friday, May 13.

Weiss is completing her third year as the ticket manager and has worked at the College in various roles since 2002.

Those who nominated her for the award cited her readiness to step up and pitch in within all areas of the athletics department while noting the selfless approach with which she approaches her job. Working in a customer-service oriented field, her helpful demeanor and willingness to offer a smile to anyone who crosses her path set her apart.
The award, which is voted on by the Maroon Club Executive Committee, is given to a full-time athletic department staff member who has demonstrated outstanding service to Lafayette College and its athletics program. The award is the highest honor the Maroon Club bestows upon athletics staff members.
