BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lafayette Track and Field continued its season Saturday afternoon for the Moravian University Invitational held at Lehigh University's Rauch Field House.Â
For the women, sophomore Julia Greeley placed second in the pole vault with a vault of 11' 11.25", setting a new personal best. Senior Annie Hathaway managed a third-place finish, also recording a new personal best (11' 5.25"). In the shot put, senior Solape Fakorede placed second with a throw of 36' 6.75". Fakorede also took home third place in the weight throw (46" 10.75'), while sophomore Erin O'Leary finished behind her in fourth place (45' 5").
Senior Claire Fedor managed a win in the triple jump with a mark of 36' 2". In the mile run, freshman Ashleigh Lustgarten placed second, clocking a time of 5.22.68. Sophomore Casey MacElhiney placed fourth (5.28.37) and freshman Carolina McCloskey came in fifth (5.31.50).Â
On the men's side, senior Devin Rosmarin placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 50' 4.5". Sophomore Jack Lynett took home second place in the pole vault (13' 5.75"). In the mile run, freshman Cole Chukoskie managed a fifth-place finish, clocking a time of 4:26.73. Classmate John Paul Pfisterer placed second in the 400-meter run, finishing in 51.91.Â
The Maroon and White will get back in action on Saturday with a trip to Lehigh for a dual meet.
