PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. - The Leopards finished 13th out of 14 teams in the Temple Invitational at The 1912 Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. Sophomore Harry Dessel placed highest for Lafayette, finishing t-22 on the par-70 course.
Dessel carded a 72 in round one followed by a 75 in round two, totaling 147 for the weekend.
Junior Sean Saw finished tied for 47th, shooting 152 (74-78) and sophomore Boyoung Chang placed t-53 (77-76-153). Freshmen Eli Myers and Winston Kelenc-Blank, both finished tied for 63rd. Myers carded a 77 and 79 and Kelenc-Blank shot a 75 and 81, totaling 156. Rounding out the lineup was junior Michael Bell in 76th (79-83-162).
Drexel snagged the team title for the weekend, shooting a 566, while Lehigh's David Hurly placed first individually with a total score of 138, finishing 2-under-par.
The Maroon and White will continue their season on Oct. 1 at the UConn Invitational at Greathorse Golf Club.
