HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Lafayette golf team finished 12th in the 13-team field at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational hosted by Colgate University at Seven Oaks Golf Club. The three-round event was held on Saturday and Sunday.
Sophomore Boyoung Chang tied for 38th, shooting 12 over par in the three-round invitational. He carded a 79 in round one, 75 in round two and 74 in round three for a tournament score of 228.Â
Fellow sophomore Harry Dessel tied for 43rd (74-77-78). In his first tournament with Lafayette, freshman Hudson Pace placed t-48, shooting a 230 (76-77-77). Senior Carter Ablon tied for 64th (81-76-77), followed by Quint Dingledine (79-77-80) in 69th and Eli Myers (80, 82, 80) in 78th.Â
Yale (853)Â was a runaway winner for the tournament title, shooting 11-under par while finishing 17 strokes ahead of second-place (870).Â
The Leopards continue competition Sept. 8 at the Gimmler Invitational hosted by St. John's.
