VAN CORTLANDT PARK, N.Y. – The Leopards competed at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Friday, the men secured 14th out of 24 teams while the women placed 18th out of 20. Senior Emil Arangala paced the Leopards for the third meet in a row with junior Elizabeth Borah leading the way for the women.
For the Lafayette men, Arangala captured 15th place of more than 250 participants with a final time of 24:56.5. Next up in 37th was junior Justin Brown, finishing with a 25:20.9. Rounding out the top five were juniors Titan Casey and Cole Chukoskie in 95th (26:03.2) and 102nd (26:08.4), respectively, and freshman David Whitford (179th, 27:00.1).
On the women's side, Borah finished 77th with a final time of 22:48.5. Following behind was senior Casey MacElhiney in 82nd (22:53.9) and junior Kira Marr in 138th (23:44.1). Closing out the top five for the Leopards were freshman Anya Kazemi (149th, 23:52.4) and sophomore Bridget Shaver (170th, 24:12.1). Â
George Mason collected first place overall for the men with their own Wesley Bond securing the individual victory. Yale earned the team honors for the women with Hannah Snayd from Fairfield snagging the individual win.
The Maroon and White will host the Patriot League Championships at Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex on Nov. 2 at 11 a.m.
