HOBOKEN, N.J. - The Lafayette fencing team continued its 2024-25 season by traveling to Stevens for the MACFA "A vs B" on Sunday.
The men finished the event with a 4-1 record, defeating Stevens 17-10, Hunter 22-5, Yeshiva 21-6Â and Army 20-7, while falling to NJIT. Out of 133 bouts, the men were victorious in 90, with the epee squad leading the way with a 35-9 record. The sabre and foil squads went 28-17 and 27-10, respectively.
The Leopard men were paced by a solid performance by senior foil
Amir Whitehead, who won 13 bouts. Senior foil
Benito Hergert and freshman sabre
Nikita Kogan both had 12 wins. Junior foil
Tyler Morse recorded 11 victories. A trio of Leopards had 10 wins: senior epee

Jordan Ginsberg and freshman sabre

Sam Gilpin won six bouts and junior epee
Yihe Chen recorded three wins. Senior foil

Christopher Rafferty won two and one bouts, respectively.
The Leopards return from their winter break, next traveling to the Philadelphia Invite on Jan. 26.
