WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Leopard golf team competed in the William & Mary Invitational at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, finishing 12th.
Sophomore Harry Dessel tied for 30th, carding a 70, 76 and 77, for a 223 overall on the par-72 course. Junior Quint Dingledine followed right behind, finishing t-33 with a score of 224 (73-78-73).
Freshman Hudson Pace placed t-51, shooting a pair of 76s in rounds one and two and an 80 in round three for a 232. Freshman Winston Kelenc-Blank (72-80-81) and senior Carter Ablon (79-79-77) finished t-53 and t-58 with final scores of 233 and 235, respectively. Junior Sean Saw ended tied for 64th with a 238 (86-75-77).
Princeton won the team title, carding a tournament score of 857 (301-276-280) in the three rounds and Justin Larue from Longwood took home medalist honors, finishing 10-under-par.
The Maroon and White will continue competition at the Battle at Rum Pointe at Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links in Berlin, Md. on Friday.
