BERLIN, Md. – Lafayette golf competed in the Battle at Rum Pointe at Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links hosted by Iona on Friday and Saturday, placing 12th of 18 teams.
Freshman Eli Myers placed tied for 33rd, carding a 77 in rounds one and two for a 154 overall on the par-72, 7001-yard course. Sophomore Harry Dessel secured a 155 (81, 74) finishing t-37 and classmate Boyoung Chang placed t-44 with a 156 overall (75-81).
Rounding out the top five were junior Michael Bell (79-81-160)Â in 65th and sophomore Valdemar Kofod-Olsen (97-84-181) in 97th.
La Salle garnered the team title, carding a tournament score of 590 (301-289) in the two rounds, and La Salle's Ben Battye took home first place, finishing seven-under-par.
The Maroon and White take will next be in action on April 8 at the Dragon Match Play Invitational at Green Valley Country Club in Philadelphia, Pa.
