PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Leopards competed in the Dragon Match Play Invitational hosted by Drexel on Monday and Tuesday, the 'A' and 'B' teams placing seventh and eighth, respectively.
Sophomore Harry Dessel finished t-9 with a 145 (72-73) overall tournament score on the par-71, 6744-yard course. Junior Quint Dingledine and senior Carter Ablon tied for 15th with a score of 146 with Dingledine carding a 76 in round one and 70 in round two and Ablon shooting a 75-71.
Freshmen Winston Kelenc-Blank and Hudson Pace finished t-30 and t-35 with scores of 151 (77-74) and 154 (78-76), respectively. Junior Michael Bell carded a 75 and 80 in the two rounds, with an overall 155 and sophomore Boyoung Chang shot a 157 (80-77), tying for 41st.
Rounding out the scores for Lafayette, sophomore Valdemar Kofod-Olsen finished t-43 with an 83 and 82 (165) and freshman Eli Myers managed 45th with a 166 overall (82-84).
Drexel garnered the team title, carding a tournament score of 567 (285-282) in the two rounds, and Rhode Island's Bryson Richards took home medalist honors, finishing eight-under-par.
The Maroon and White will host the annual Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational at Northampton Country Club on Sunday and Monday.Â
