Ethan Swidler and senior
Michael Zarrillo have earned spots on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Baseball Team announced on Tuesday.
Swidler started all 49 games for the Lafayette Nine, primarily behind the plate. The junior batted .331 and had a team-best 14 doubles, while blasting five home runs and driving in 33 runs.
The San Diego, Calif native holds a 3.52 GPA as an Economics major and was also named to the 2025 Academic All-Patriot League Team and the 2025 All-Patriot League First-Team.
As a third baseman, Zarrillo started all 49 games for the Maroon and White and posted a .289 mark at the plate. He recorded 54 hits with 11 doubles, six home runs and 37 RBIs on the season.
The Atlanta, Ga. native maintains a 3.82 GPA while majoring in Economics, Zarrillo recently received laurels for the 2025 Academic All-Patriot League Team and the 2025 All-Patriot League Second-Team. In 2025, the senior also broke the Lafayette career home run record finishing his career with 24 home runs.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District laurels, nominees must maintain a 3.5 or better GPA, be a starter or key reserve and have completed one full school year.
