EASTON, Pa. – Senior Bobby McClosky took home Patriot League Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after his performance in the javelin at the Rutgers Relays on Saturday.
The East Stroudsburg, Pa. native garnered the victory with a personal best of 217' 2", securing No. 3 all-time at Lafayette.
McClosky's 66.20 meter throw ranks him first in the Patriot League this season and 25th in the NCAA East Region.
The integrative engineering major's effort from Rutgers sits as the 46th best mark at the Division I level and in the entire NCAA.
The Leopards will head to day one of the Navy Spring Invite and Virginia Challenge on Apr. 17.
