LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Lafayette track and field team continued their season today at the indoor Patriot League Championship. The men finished seventh overall with 13 total points, while the women finished eighth with 5.5 points.
On the men's side, the first points of the day came from
Jordan Anderson, as he finished seventh in the 60 meter finals in a time of 7.00 seconds. The finish scored two points in the event.
The distance medley foursome of
A.J. Sanford II,
Ryan Moore,
Ryan Murphy, and
Bobby Oehrlein had a strong performance, finishing sixth in a time of 10:15.07 to score three points in the event.
Keeping it going in the relay events was the 4x400 meter relay team of
Willie Marina,
Sohan De Silva,
Sean Hamilton, and
Elias Podber, finishing eighth in a time of 3:39.35 to add another point to the meet total.
In the 3,000 meter dash,
Austin Barry finished ninth overall in a time of 8:29.24. Behind Barry in 17th place was
Charley Eagle, finishing in a time of 8:41.60.
On the women's side,
Autumn Sands finished ninth in the 3,000 meter run in a time of 9:54.64.Â
The first points scored on the women's side came from the distance medley team of
Cassandra Wilk,
Nava Chevan,
Alexandra Borik, and
Casey MacElhiney, finishing eighth in a final time of 12:46.28. This finish scored one point in the event.
