LEWISBURG, Pa. – The track and field team participated in the Gulden Invitational hosted by Bucknell on Saturday, facing nine other teams.
For the Leopard men, freshman Kaseme Leckie tied for No. 4 all-time at Lafayette in the 60-meter dash finals with a final time of 6.90, capturing third place. Junior Titan Casey garnered third in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:34.31 and classmate Cole Chukoskie earned sixth in the mile, finishing in 4:20.09.
Juniors J.P. Pfisterer and Roman Conca collected seventh-place finishes in the 400 meters (51.53) and 200 meters (22.54), respectively, while classmate Zachary Barban managed 10th in the 400 meters (51.97).
In the field, senior Jack Lynett tied for No. 10 all-time in the pole vault with a 15' 3" effort, snagging fifth. Freshman Jack Larson finished sixth in the pole vault (14' 9") followed by junior Benjamin Hill in eighth (14' 9"). Leckie ended in seventh in the high jump (6' 2.75") and senior Quinn Curtin took home eighth in the triple jump (43' 8.75").
Sophomore Ivan Tejada reeled in eighth in the shot put with a 49' 7.75" effort and ninth in the weight throw (51' 1.5").
For the Leopard women, junior Carolina McCloskey collected fifth in the 1000 meters with a final time of 3:06.69. Senior Casey MacElhiney finished sixth in the 1000 meters (3:07.30) while junior Kira Marr followed in 10th (3:13.14). Sophomore Ava Severino ran a 5:24.15 mile, resulting in 10th place.
Senior Angel Awono secured sixth in the 60-meter hurdles finals with a time of 9.27. Freshmen Lily Jenkins and Lilly Bradfield snagged seventh and ninth in the 200 meters (26.48) and 400 meters (1:02.22), respectively.
In the field, senior Julia Greeley enjoyed a fourth-place finish in the pole vault, vaulting 11' 5.75". Freshman Leah Rudolph placed 10th in the long jump with a 16' 7.25" effort.
Freshman Anna Cacciacarne reeled in eighth in the shot put, putting 38' 7".
The Maroon and White will take on Lehigh for the first rivalry dual of the season on Feb. 1 at 2 p.m.Â
