McCloskey Wins 3k in Bucknell Tuneup

Awono and O’Leary secure all-time performances

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Track and field competed in the Bucknell Tuneup at Gerhard Fieldhouse on Friday night.

Running for the women, senior Angel Awono qualified for finals in the 60-meter hurdles, ultimately securing No. 5 all-time at Lafayette with a time of 9.00 and a fourth-place finish. Junior Carolina McCloskey enjoyed the victory in the 3000 meters with a final time of 10:34.95. Sophomore Ava Severino snagged fourth in the mile (5:18.19) and freshman Lily Jenkins reeled in fifth in the 400 meters (1:01.28).

Junior Kira Marr and freshman Anya Kazemi took home seventh in the mile (5:19.48) and 3000 meters (10:50.98), respectively. Freshman Mia Conca collected ninth in the 200 meters (27.80) followed by sophomore Isabel Choma in 10th (27.87).

In the field for the women, senior Erin O'Leary garnered fifth in the weight throw (51' 11"), earning No. 7 all-time. Sophomore Cheyla Williams threw 46' 1.25" in the weight throw, placing ninth.

Freshman Leah Rudolph achieved eighth and ninth in the long jump (16' 10") and triple jump (33' 4.75"). Sophomore Bridget O'Mara ended in seventh in the pole vault (11' 0.75") vault.

Running for the men, sophomore John Liedtka qualified for finals in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing third with a time of 8.42. Sophomore Christian Wright and junior Roman Conca each qualified for finals in the 60-meter dash, ending in fifth (7.05) and sixth (7.12), respectively. Conca also earned fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.56.

Junior J.P. Pfisterer secured fifth in the 400 meters, finishing in 51.60. Sophomore Harrison Rosen collected ninth in the 200 meters (23.02) and junior Zachary Barban placed 10th in the 400 meters (52.35).

In the field for the men, junior Benjamin Hill garnered third in the pole vault (15' 1") followed by senior Jack Lynett in fourth (15' 1"). Freshman J.T. Cook leaped 20' 9.75" in the long jump for a sixth-place finish. Sophomore Andrew Harrison took home seventh in the triple jump (43' 5.25"). Sophomore Elliott Godin and senior Quinn Curtin managed eighth in the pole vault (14' 7.25") and triple jump (43' 2.25"), respectively.

Sophomore Ivan Tejada collected 10th in the shot put, putting 49' 6.5". 

The Maroon and White will participate in day one of the Patriot League Championships at Navy on Mar. 1.
