LEWISBURG, Pa. – Lafayette track and field faced more than 30 teams at the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell's Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Saturday and Sunday. Three Leopards placed in the top 20 and four athletes secured positions in the Lafayette all-time top 10.
Running middle distance for the women, senior Nava Chevan broke the Lafayette school record in the 800 meters, her own record from the 2023-24 season, with a time of 2:08.06. Chevan captured fourth place out of more than 130 participants. Junior Elena Malone finished 34th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15.49.
Senior Casey MacElhiney and junior Carolina McCloskey collected 28th (4:48.42) and 54th (4:52.97) in the 1500 meters, respectively. Sophomore Ava Severino placed 39th in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:32.43.
In the sprints, junior Maeve Waldron took home 28th in the 400 meters with a time of 58.86.
Junior Elizabeth Borah secured No. 8 all-time at Lafayette in the 5000 meters, finishing in 17:22.18 and managing 53rd.
For the men, junior Quinn Worrell garnered 12th of 140 runners in the 800 meters, finishing with a time of 1:52.13 and securing No. 7 all-time. Classmate Titan Casey and freshman Alec Miner achieved 23rd (1:53.99) and 26th (1:54.13) in the 800 meters, respectively.
Running long distance, junior Cole Chukoskie earned No. 9 all-time in the 5000 meters with a time of 14:45.43, finishing 51st. Senior Emil Arangala and junior Justin Brown collected 59th (14:50.19) and 87th (15:32.95) in the 5000 meters.
In the sprints, sophomore John Liedtka enjoyed a 14th-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.01. Junior Roman Conca managed 42nd in the 400 meters, finishing in 50.20.
Throwing for the women, sophomore Marin Rosser finished 22nd in the javelin with a 120' 3" effort. Classmate Maddie Still and senior Rylee Bordwick took home 25th (117' 4") and 27th (115' 8") in the javelin, respectively.
Next up, the Maroon and White will compete in the Navy Spring Invite on Friday and Saturday.
