SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Lafayette track and field team continued their season this weekend at the IC4A/ECAC Championships.
The top finisher on the women's side once again came from
Ainsley Jacobs. In the 10,000 meter run, Jacobs finished fourth overall in a time of 36:15.16. This finish from Jacobs earned her All East status and scored five points in the meet.
Rachel Hurley also had a big race in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, finishing 11th overall in a time of 11:47.23.
Rounding out the action on the women's side was
Olivia Barney, finishing 13th overall in the hammer throw with a mark of 157' 11".Â
On the men's side, there were also three individuals that competed.
The highest finish over the weekend came from
Ryan Branch in the 5,000 meter run. His finish time of 15:00.04 was good for 10th place overall in the race.
The final two runners came in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Leading the way for Lafayette was
Michael Neeson, finishing 12th overall in a time of 9:24.67. Finishing behind Neeson was
Austin Barry in 20th place in a final time of 9:39.29.
