NEW YORK, N.Y. – Track and field took on the TCNJ Holiday Invitational at NYC Armory on Saturday night, with two Leopards collecting Lafayette all-time performances.
For the men, senior Quinn Worrell garnered the victory in the 1000 meters with a final time of 2:26.30, also securing No. 2 all-time. Classmate Titan Casey followed behind in the 1000 meters, collecting third (2:34.69). Senior J.P. Pfisterer secured first in the 600 meters with a time of 1:20.99 and freshman Baker Pott finished second with a time of 1:22.36. Freshman Hunter Parsons ran for 1:24.62 for a fourth-place finish.
Junior Alexander Caba claimed No. 9 all-time in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.96 in prelims. Caba finished fifth overall, running 6.98. Junior John Liedtka reeled in third in the 60-meter hurdles (8.42). Senior Roman Conca enjoyed the victory in the 400 meters, crossing the finish line at 50.43, while junior Ilios Millett achieved fifth (52.56).
In the field, sophomore Kaseme Leckie snagged second in the high jump, reaching 6' 4". Junior Andrew Harrison took home third- and fifth-place finishes in the triple jump (43' 4.75") and long jump (21' 2"), respectively.
On the women's side, senior Alexa LaSasso secured the victory in the 600 meters with a final time of 1:36.43. Freshman Katelynn Barthold enjoyed the win in the 1000 meters, reaching the finish line at 3:00.03. Senior Elena Malone and freshman Ryan Ireland collected second (3:00.13) and fourth (3:10.33) in the 1000 meters.
Freshman Faye Carnemolla achieved third in the 600 meters (1:38.37) while senior Katherine Pappas finished fifth in the 1000 meters (3:11.18). Sophomore Lilly Bradfield and junior Madeline Convy took home third (1:00.90) and fourth-place (1:01.00) finishes in the 400 meters, respectively. Sophomore Iyun Franklin-Ayeni garnered fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a final time of 9.26.
Freshmen Mia Callahan and Sophia Agner secured fourth (5' 2.25") and fifth (5' 2.25") in the high jump. Sophomore Anaya Brown grabbed fourth in the triple jump, finishing with a 33' 9.75" jump.
The Maroon and White resume competition after the new year, traveling to the Wesley Brown Invite on Jan. 16-17 hosted by Navy.
