STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Track and field competed at the Fast Track Invite at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday.
In the field for the women, senior Julia Greeley captured the victory in the pole vault with a 12' 11.5" effort, tying the school record and securing a new personal best. Sophomore Katherine Crotty snagged sixth in the long jump open, leaping 16' 4.5". Sophomore Bridget O'Mara took home ninth in the pole vault (11') and classmate Anaya Brown managed 19th in the triple jump (33' 9").
Senior Erin O'Leary reeled in fifth in the weight throw, throwing 50' 9" while freshman Anna Cacciacarne finished 11th in the shot put with a 36' 11.75" put.
On the track, junior Maeve Waldron secured fifth in the 200 meters with a final time of 25.43. Freshman Cate Guilfoyle collected eighth in the 60-meter dash open, finishing in 8.23. Junior Elena Malone earned 11th in the 400 meters with a time of 58.11, securing No. 9 all-time at Lafayette, while sophomore Gabby Buber finished 12th in the 200 meters (25.86).
Freshman Mia Conca achieved 15th in the 60-meter dash open with a time of 8.36 followed by sophomore Isabel Choma in 18th (8.42). Junior Julianne Gallo took home 16th in the 60-meter hurdles (10.33). Senior Chelsey Cochrane ended in 15th in the 800 meters with a final time of 2:18.85 and freshman Jamie Gorman managed 20th in the 800 meters (2:21.49).
Running for the men, freshman Kaseme Leckie garnered sixth in the 60-meter dash invitational with a time of 6.96. Sophomore John Liedtka secured 11th in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 8.57.
In the field events, freshman J.T. Cook took home 12th in the long jump with a 21' 4.75" effort. Junior Liam Sawian collected 16th in the high jump (5' 10.75") and sophomore Andrew Harrison finished 20th in the long jump open (19' 3.5"). Sophomore Elliott Godin reeled in ninth in the pole vault, vaulting 13' 9.25".
Junior Liam Downey earned 12th in the shot put, putting 44' 11.75" and sophomore Jack Paradis placed 15th in the weight throw (42' 5").
The Maroon and White will next head to the Widener Indoor Classic at Penn on Feb. 15.
