EDITOR'S NOTE: Senior power forward Mike Farrell is in his final season on College Hill and his second full season as the men's basketball team captain and author of weekly web journal entries on www.goleopards.com. Each week, the American Studies major and Florida native will detail his life as a student-athlete.
I think that my parents just want to send in more pictures of me. They keep telling me to do more Top 5 lists for the site. One particular suggestion that stands out is my Top 5 greatest/worst outfits I have ever worn. But don't worry. I know their little schemes. The have come to believe that their purpose in life is to get a picture of me dressed up as Elvis up on the internet. All I got to say to that is: check out some of the pictures from the football games, cause I'm dressed like Elvis plenty in some of those.
But the parental units did make it to the two away games this past weekend. It was good to see them, but I think that they are now banned from going to away games. They had been perfect at home, and outstanding 4-0. But they just dropped. In a big way. The Farrell family's record is now 4-2 this year, still respectable, but they are going to have to bring some wins this Thursday and Saturday. We'll have to see how they do this weekend to see if they get traveling privileges to the Patriot League tourney.

Apparently when you throw out a couple of shout outs on a website you better be prepared to explain why other people didn't get deserving shout outs. So to remedy that, I simply continue to write journals. The swim and track teams both deserve huge shout outs, because, not only did they also stay on campus for most of the interim but they made it a point to come to all of the games during that stretch. Also a huge hand to the Alumni who made all 11 million Lafayette 6th Man t-shirts. I seem them everywhere on campus now, and it is a great sight.
Navy and American will round out the last few games of the year, but I'll get into those games a little bit more a little later on. So stay posted, and professors, keep the work load light. It should be fun rounding out the career at home.
PS - I do not keep writing: "See you all at the Palestra." Just to let everyone know, that editing mistake is not mine. Granted I've had a few in the past, but the Palestra thing has just gone on for far too long.
Looking forward to Thursday and seeing you all there.
Peace
Mike Farrell
