STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Leopard track athletes ran in the Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday.
For the women, junior Maeve Waldron garnered fourth in the 400 meters with a final time of 57.83, securing No. 6 all-time at Lafayette. Sophomore Ida Moczerniuk snagged second in the 60-meter dash final with a time of 7.55. Moczerniuk also earned third in the 200 meters with a time of 24.78, staying No. 2 all-time and reaching a new personal best.
Junior Elizabeth Borah finished in 10:03.90 in the 3000 meters, collecting third place. Juniors Katherine Pappas and Chelsey Cochrane reeled in third (2:20.04) and fourth (2:20.41) in the 800 meters, respectively, while classmate Elena Malone managed seventh in the 800 meters (2:23.05).
On the men's side, sophomore Harrison Rosen qualified for finals in the 60-meter dash and ultimately finished fifth with a final time of 7.16. Freshman Alec Miner achieved fifth in the 800 meters (1:57.54) and junior J.P. Pfisterer placed eighth (1:58.34). Junior Roman Conca earned sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 50.01.
Junior Cole Chukoskie and senior Emil Arangala took home sixth (8:36.80) and eighth (8:38.92) in the 3000 meters, respectively, while junior Quinn Worrell collected eighth in the mile (4:17.95).
The Maroon and White will participate in the Moravian Invite and finish up the Wesley Brown Invitational at Navy on Saturday.
